Anode Manufacturing

Electrode Manufacturing: there are 4 steps in electrode manufacturing: Mixing, Coating, Drying and Calendering. The electrode manufacturing process is the same for all of the cell chemistries and formats in terms of the basic steps. Anode: active material (eg graphite or graphite + silicon), conductive material (eg carbon black), and polymer binder (eg carboxymethyl cellulose, CMC)

Needs review: this page currently just restates the generic 4-step electrode manufacturing process (also summarised on the parent Anode page) and doesn’t yet cover what’s specifically different about manufacturing an anode versus a cathode — e.g. moisture control for silicon-containing slurries, anode-specific coating weight/loading targets, and how calendered density and porosity choices here tie back to the N/P ratio. Needs a subject-matter pass to add that distinguishing content rather than an automated rewrite.
