Polytetrafluoroethylene

Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is used as a binder, for both anodes and cathodes due to its high chemical and thermal resistance.

Commonly known as Teflon, a thermoplastic polymer used for non-stick coatings and bearings.

Used in dry-electrode processing techniques as it avoids the need for solvents. However, one issue is it doesn’t adhere well to electrodes.
