Black Mass

Black mass is the intermediate product after battery cell shredding. Black mass contains valuable metals including:

  • cobalt
  • nickel
  • manganese
  • lithium

The value and price of this commodity are determined by battery-grade mineral spot prices, where each valuable mineral contributes to the total black mass price.
