We do performance testing at Cell, Module, Pack and System level. These tests would normally include:
- Capacity
- Ah capacity
- vs temperature
- vs rate
- Ah capacity
- Energy
- Wh capacity
- vs temperature
- vs rate
- Wh capacity
- Power
- Peak discharge
- Continuous discharge
- Charge
- Internal Resistance / Impedance
- DC internal resistance (DCIR), from a current pulse and the resulting voltage drop
- AC impedance (EIS), across a frequency sweep
- vs temperature
- vs SoC
These checks are typically run at the start and end of a test campaign so that any drift in capacity, energy, power or resistance can be measured against the fresh-cell baseline. See Accelerated Testing for how baseline and post-ageing performance checks fit into a wider test plan.
