It would benefit from a short section on teardown methodology (e.g. discharge and safe opening of cells, inert-atmosphere disassembly, what is measured at cell vs module vs pack level, and typical outputs such as BOM, mass/volume breakdown and electrode analysis) — a subject-matter call best made by Nigel.
One way of understanding how a product, system or component works is to do a teardown. Essentially take it apart.
Note: no teardown should be undertaken without the appropriate training, equipment, facilities and safety equipment.

Teardown of the Tesla 4680 cylindrical cell is a good example of the process and information extracted from this process.
Pack Teardown
