Battery Sustainability & Circularity

Performance used to be the only thing a cell or pack design was judged on: energy density, C-rate, cycle life. That’s no longer the whole brief. A chemistry choice now carries a declared carbon footprint, a pack architecture is judged on whether it can be taken apart at end of life, and a design that can’t produce the data a regulator or a recycler needs is a design with a real commercial problem attached to it, not just an environmental one.

This section covers that side of battery engineering with the same rigor as the rest of the site: chemistry-to-pack, grounded in the physics and the regulation, not “green living” content. If a topic doesn’t trace back to a specific engineering decision, a specific regulatory requirement, or a specific number, it doesn’t belong here.
