BMW solid state research is rather interesting, perhaps in particular this quote [1]:
The management of cell expansion will be investigated here. In addition: How is the operating pressure controlled and how to adjust the temperature conditions.
Number 2 in the article 10 things about SSBs that you are often not told is 2. Pressure – a commonly hidden problem.

The image of the battery pack itself was not included in the original press article, but it is available within the images released to the press.
The battery pack/module is very uniform rectangular design. The lifting eyes are quite substantial.
The busbar connections, open nature of the top plate and lack of coolant connections suggest this is a module and we are not seeing a complete battery pack.

The cells are from a partnership that BMW have with Solid Power and are use sulfide-based electrolytes. Solid power suggest the cell specifications are:
- 390 Wh/kg
- 930 Wh/litre
- >1000 cycles
- NMC
- Si Anode
- Sulfide based electrolyte
